Shining Armor Amigurumi

I imagine I should have been singing "BBBFF" in my head while making Shining Armor, but I couldn't stop humming "It'll Be OK" the whole time.

So, making Shining Armor was fun for a lot of reasons. While most of it was the same basic procedure as always, changing the color of his hooves was a little difficult at first, seeing as I couldn't find a good tutorial on how to join yarn when working in a HDC magic circle. So I basically looked at what is usually done and just logicked out my own method. It isn't anything particularly spectacular, but I'm quite proud simply because I used the knowledge I've been gaining to solve a practical puzzle.


The other fun part was designing that shield halter, as I did it with very little outside help. At first, I was going to design it like an actual halter, but then I watched "A Canterlot Wedding" again and realized that the design in the show makes no goddamned sense (two ropes on either side is just... dumb). Which meant that I had to try and make it myself because making stupid cartoon stuff in real life seems to be my nom de plume. And it worked out pretty well!

Anyway I'm off to the hospital. I have yarn coming out of my face holes and that is terrible.
