Huzzah! The chainmaille has been multiplied!
By... some number!
Another hand-crafted chainmaille banner, this time to celebrate my favorite princess ever!
This one is, of course, a BUNCH smaller. (About 1/4 of the other's size) This one was actually inspired by someone's comment on My Little Brony! Someone saw my other one and said they wanted one of Luna, and my entire body agreed. Violently. I added the scales on the bottom at the last minute, because I was a little bored and just plain lousy
I used saw cut rings this time, since my supplier didn't have the colors I want in machine cut varieties. It feels so smooth~
How about some statistics? (only for the inlay and decoration)
Length: 9 3/4"
Width: 5 1/4"
# of rings: 1793
Weave: European 4-1
Materials: Anodized aluminum rings in purple, black, and bright silver; sterling silver rings; galvanized steel scales
Time Taken: ???
A funny note on the colors: I seem to have problems with bluey colors. I look at Rarity's purple hair, and I choose a dark blue yarn. I look at Luna's dark blue flank, and I choose purple rings.
Still, I think the contrast is just right, regardless of actual hue.
